Leaving at least two finger gap between the neck and necklace is advised. For teething necklaces ensure it is not too long as it can get over chin and into the mouth. Amber is not for chewing and as it is a fossil resin it could shatter under pressure to pieces. If it is too tight it could be uncomfortable and pose a risk of choking.
